Dr. Manson is board certified in both internal medicine and the sub-specialty
of endocrinology and metabolism. Her major research interests include
preventive medicine and chronic disease epidemiology, particularly risk
factors for cardiovascular disease in women. She is Principal Investigator
of several grants from the National Institutes of Health, including
the Women's Health Initiative Vanguard Clinical Center at Brigham and
Women's Hospital in Boston, Trial of Antioxidant Therapy and Cardiovascular
Disease in Women, and Modifiable Determinants of Diabetes in Women,
among others. Dr. Manson is a member of many expert societies and serves
on the editorial/health advisory boards of several health journals.
